On December 28, 2021, the Science and Technology Award Conference of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation was held in Wuhan. Shandong Tianwei Membrane Technology Co., Ltd., University of Science and Technology of China, Tangshan Sanyou Yuanda Fiber Co., Ltd., Sainz Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., and Shandong Guoci Functional Materials Co., Ltd. jointly completed the "Electrodialysis Membrane, Membrane Assembly and Typical Process Industrial Acid-alkali Salt Wastewater Resource Application" project won the first prize of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Science and Technology Progress Award.
The project is oriented to the major national needs such as green transformation of traditional industries, waste resource utilization, and advanced treatment of complex industrial wastewater. A series of electrodialysis homogeneous ion exchange membranes have been developed, and a new type of hydraulic electrodialysis assembly has been developed, which has realized the large-scale electrodialysis device and opened up a new field of application of ion-exchange membrane technology in the separation and purification of acid/alkali/salt-containing industrial feed liquid in China, the application involves chemical industry, hydrometallurgy, electronic etching, rare earth, food, biochemical, chemical fiber and other key industries. According to the appraisal of authoritative experts organized by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, the performance of the project products has reached the international advanced level, and the preparation technology department has the international leading level.
At present, the membrane series products of Shandong Tianwei Membrane Technology Co., Ltd. have been widely used in more than 200 companies, with a market share of more than 40%. It treats 10 million tons of various acid, alkali and salt waste liquids per year, and creates economic value of more than 2 billion yuan per year. Green production, energy saving and emission reduction, and the conversion of new and old kinetic energy are indispensable key technologies to promote the high-quality development of the national economy.
