The downstream treatment process of traditional organic acid fermentation production mostly uses ion exchange method. However, the ion exchange resin needs to be regenerated repeatedly, which consumes a large amount of acid and alkali, washing water and produces a large amount of waste liquid. The use of bipolar membrane electrodialysis to produce organic acids directly from the fermentation broth can greatly reduce waste emissions, reduce chemical raw materials and energy consumption; and the process is simple, product recovery and high purity. The bipolar membrane production line with an annual output of 20000 square meters independently developed by our company has been completed, which can be widely used in the production of organic acids and realize the resource utilization of high-salt wastewater.
