News from the Academy of Marine Sciences: Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Charged Polymer Materials Held the First Academic Committee Meeting

On August 26, 2015, the first academic committee meeting of Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of charged polymer materials organized by Weifang Science and Technology Bureau was held in Weifang, Shandong Province. The key laboratory relying on Shandong Tianwei Membrane Technology Co., Ltd., our hospital as a cooperative unit to prepare for the meeting. The meeting was presided over by an Weihong, deputy director of Weifang Science and Technology Bureau. Leaders of Weifang Science and Technology Bureau, leaders of Science and Technology Bureau of high tech Zone, members of expert group of academic committee of key laboratories and representatives of key laboratories attended the meeting. Li Shouping, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of our hospital, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
Dean Li pointed out that Tianwei Company, as a high-tech enterprise integrating production, education and research, is indispensable in the process of enterprise development. How to successfully complete the preparation and operation of the key laboratory is inseparable from the support and help of the experts present. I sincerely hope that the experts can make suggestions for the future construction and development of the key laboratory.
During the meeting, the members of the committee listened to the company's chief engineer, Dr. Rong Qiang, on the preparation of key laboratories, including the positioning of the laboratory, recent research goals, research and development directions, etc. It also puts forward constructive suggestions on the positioning of the laboratory, the setting of research direction, and the reasonable planning of the talent team. During the meeting, the members of the committee also visited the laboratory on the spot, communicated with the laboratory personnel and scientific research backbone, and inquired in detail about the relevant contents of the laboratory equipment and staffing.
The members of the committee agreed that the laboratory research direction is reasonable, the plan is feasible, and the expected goals can be achieved. It is recommended that the laboratory further optimize the cooperation mechanism with scientific research institutes, improve the industry-university-research cooperation platform, and highlight the advantages of key laboratories in driving the innovation of the entire industry chain. It is recommended that the supporting units and relevant departments continue to provide support.
