The kick-off conference of "large-scale preparation and application technology development of membrane materials for acid-base recovery", a major project of the national "863" plan, was held in Weifang.

On July 25, 2012, Shandong Tianwei Membrane Technology Co., Ltd. mainly undertook the national "863" project "large-scale preparation and application technology development of membrane materials for acid-base recovery". Separation membrane experts and team members from the University of Science and Technology of China, Dalian Institute of Chemical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hangzhou Water Treatment Center, Ocean University of China, Beijing University of Technology, Tsinghua University and other units attended the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Professor Li Jiding of Tsinghua University. Researcher Liu Zhaoming of Shandong Tianwei Membrane Technology Co., Ltd. reported on behalf of the research team on the main tasks, overall plan, target decomposition, project progress and organization and management of the project. Professor Xu Tongwen of China University of Science and Technology, researcher Jin Keyong of Hangzhou Water Treatment Center and Professor Wang Haizeng of China Ocean University respectively made detailed reports on the main tasks undertaken, their respective progress and the next stage objectives. After the report, the experts at the meeting discussed the relevant issues in the report and put forward good opinions and suggestions. At the meeting, the research group further clarified the division of tasks and formulated a work plan for the next step. All participants expressed their ability and confidence to complete all the tasks and objectives of the project.
Researcher Cao Yiming and Professor Li Jiding, an expert in charge of major projects of high-performance separation membrane materials of the Ministry of Science and Technology, made a concluding speech. The two responsible experts fully affirmed the division of labor, progress, and stage results of the project, and put forward specific requirements on the organization and management of the project, and hope that the undertaking units will attach great importance to the project work and give full play to their respective advantages. Carry out the work creatively, and finally give back to the society and serve the country with excellent results!
