A membrane pair is formed by alternately stacking one anion exchange membrane, one desalination chamber partition, one cation exchange membrane and one concentration chamber partition. Several membrane pairs are stacked together, and electrode chamber partitions are added on both sides to form a membrane stack. Electrodes, water distribution plates and clamping plates are placed on both sides of the membrane stack to form an electrodialyzer.
The electrodialysis process takes the electric field as the driving force and utilizes the selective permeability of the ion exchange membrane to the ions to make the anions and cations migrate directionally, so as to realize the removal or concentration of the salt in the aqueous solution.
