Organic acid production industry-Application of bipolar membrane electrodialysis in organic acid production
Most of the downstream processing of traditional organic acid fermentation production adopts ion exchange. However, the ion exchange resin needs to be regenerated repeatedly, consuming a large amount of acid and alkali and washing water, and generating a large amount of waste liquid. The use of bipolar membrane electrodialysis to directly produce organic acids from fermentation broth can greatly reduce waste discharge, reduce chemical and energy consumption. The process is simple, and the product recovery rate and purity are high. The bipolar membrane production line independently developed by our company with an annual output of 20,000 square meters has been completed. Bipolar membrane electrodialysis can be widely used in the production of organic acids and realize the resource utilization of high-salt wastewater.
