Shandong Tianwei Membrane Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2003, specializing in the research and development of homogeneous ion exchange membranes and water treatment equipments. The company is the Key High-tech Enterprise of National Torch Plan, the Shandong Gazelle Enterprise, the Shandong Hidden Champion Enterprise, the Shandong "Zhuan-Jing-Te-Xin" Small and Medium-sized Enterprise and the executive director unit of China Membrane Industry Association. The company has established the National Post-doctoral Research Station, the Key Laboratory of Charged Polymer Membrane Materials of Shandong, the Demonstration Research Center of Charged Membrane Engineering Technologies of Shandong and the Mobilization Center of Water Purification Equipment of Shandong.

The company won a second prize of National Technical Invention Award and three first prizes of Science and Technology Progress Award of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. The company took the lead in formulating four chemical industry standards, and presided over a number of national, provincial and ministerial R&D plans such as the National Key Research and Development Plan, the National "863" Plan, the National Key New Product Plan, the National Key Innovation Fund for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, and the Major Scientific and Technological Innovation Projects of Shandong. The company has the intellectual property rights about the preparation and applications of homogeneous ion exchange membranes, and a series of membrane products have been included in the national strategic plan and recognized as "National Key New Product".

The main products are: homogeneous ion exchange membranes, diffusion dialyzer, electrodialyzer, bipolar membrane electrodialyzer, homogeneous membrane filter. The products are widely used in acidic, alkaline and salty wastewater treatment and resource utilization in the fields of industrial liquid desalination, organic acid production, electronic aluminum foil, steel, hydrometallurgy, coal chemical industry, petroleum refining, chemical industry, environmental protection and other fields, providing the integrated solutions for green and cleaner production.
